REI Bike Shop

Very helpful staff! They carry variety of options for all sports. -REI has parking in their building. Park on lower level, it is less crowded -I needed a mattress and they had at least 20 options to try out. I looked like a fool pulling them out but it was just what I needed to find the perfect one. -portable bike trainer - they helped me find the one I wanted in storage. -ski helmet - they helped narrow down the options based on my skill level, preference and price goal -hiking shoes - they were helpful to understand my specific goal for hiking and fit of shoe.

This is a retail bike shop only. It’s great if you want to spend your dividend on a low to mid-range bike, but if you’d then like to ride it and service it yourself, look elsewhere.

Poor selection of actual products you might need to keep your bike running. The whole industry is focused on just selling new products and supporting the latest craze not providing quality service or parts anymore :( I did actually receive slightly less of a condescending tone from the mechanics this time but the mechanic gave me spoke nipples that were too thin and didn’t really look at the size I brought in for comparison. Good thing I checked so I didn’t build a wheel that was weak and dangerous to ride on!!
